ABOUT DANIEL ARIAS
With almost 20 years of tango under his belt, Daniel Arias has made his mark as a performer and teacher in the most renowned milongas of Buenos Aires.
- After an extensive European tour, Daniel settled in Los Angeles, CA and established himself as a member and popular teacher of the Los Angeles tango community. His Sunday Milonga, La Milonguita which he organizes with his wife Laura, is becoming one of the most popular milongas in Los Angeles. It is the only Milonga in LA with traditional style seating. Daniel enforces the Codigos and instructs his students in the traditional milonguero style of dancing. His dance is characterized by his embrace, musicality and crisp steps.
LAURA MINGO is a milonguera at heart, having grown up in a tango immersed home. A devoted organizer for the last ten years, Laura had two of the most popular milongas in Los Angeles, Milonga Uno and Milonga El Floridita which ran for four years and became known as the first Hollywood Tango Club. In addition, she has been Maestra Alicia Pons' Los Angeles organizer for the last three years.
